This unreleased dub rips off Madonna’s “Into the Groove” quite explicitly, and I suspect that is the point. Considering that it’s coming from one of the most encyclopedia minds in dance music today, Dimitri from Paris, this track reads more like a reference to the small rash of musical Madonna wannabes in the ’80s.
Shook released his new song today, Love for you. You all (should) knowthat I’m a huge fan of Shook’s work since all of his songs without exceptions are amazing funky tracks with genius solos of keyboard. However this track is more smooth and laid back but the genius is still there. It still sounds funky with an 80’s vibe paired with a sense of nostalgia. And the keyboard roaming at the end of the track takes us somewhere else. Love for You is the perfect track to enjoy on a very hot and sunny summer day like today, late in the afternoon.
Here comes the debut release of german Nu Disco act Satin Jackets on their brand new label Glam Jam Artists giving us their best of candy piano chords and laid back melodic vocals by group member Eric Cozier. Yum. Stockholm based SJ-homie Chris Jylkke provides his perspective of lushness in a full-up production proving once more that Stockholm really has a Miami Beach.
Early support by DJ Sneak, Jesse Rose, A-Trak, Joakim, Matthew Dear, DJ T, Riva Starr, Claude Von Stroke, Huxley, Noir, NTFO, dOP, Munk, Round Table Knights, Zombie Disco Squad and many more.
Label: Exploited Artist: Claptone Title: Night on Fire LC: 15799
EXPLOITED presents one of the fastest rising stars of the last 6 months - the mysterious Claptone. Their second release “Cream” has achieved astonishing chart success (Top 10 Beatport Hit “Cream” / Top 1 German Club Charts / Top 7 Resident Advisor Charts). “Cream” has been snapped up for numerous DJ-mixes, Miami and Ibiza comps. With a fast developing reputation for production and DJ skills seemingly beyond their short career, this is a talent too good to miss.
“Faceless stars aren’t exactly a new phenomenon in the world of electronic music. In fact, anonymity is the hallmark of some of the scene’s biggest artists—take Daft Punk, The Bloody Beetroots, and Burial just for starters. Add Claptone to the list, as this unidentified combo hit the world of disco-tinged deep house hard this spring with their cover of the Wu-Tang Clan classic ”Cream.” The tune climbed up the Beatport charts and made its way onto the hard drives of star DJs including Tensnake, A-Trak, and Matthew Dear. Their latest, “Night On Fire,” which drops June 11th on Beatport, promises similar results by borrowing Jim Morrison’s most famous verse and wrapping it in brooding keys and swaying disco rhythms.
But where the Exploited act stands out, besides having a penchant for covers, is in their videos—each one suggesting a taste for B-movie artfulness, like an 8mm film version of iamamiwhoami‘s HD enigma. Factor in Claptone’s press photos, a golden bird mask that mashes up The Knife‘s preferred facial wear with MF DOOM‘s metal face, and you’ve got a mystery so intriguing, you hope it never comes unraveled.” (Beatportal)
DJ Sneak: Superb work. And yes i am remixing CREAM for you. Stay put. Thanks mates. Jesse Rose: Good groover for the darker hour. Looking forward to playing it out. Big ups. A-Trak: I feel like these tracks were made for me. Joakim: Would probably play Night On Fire, can see it destroy some dancefloors Huxley: Another wicked EP from Claptone and Exploited! Alex Barck/Jazzanova: Top Tunes here. Maybe too early to say but Exploited is my label of the year so far. Riva Starr: Will test it out. dOP: Great 2 tracks..very melodic. Download for very early use. Round Table Knights: Another Claptone/Exploited sure shot! Zombie Disco Squad: Wow - this one is much more errie and tender than the last few. Awesome.

Young climbing duo KOOL BANDITS posted today their third track “Babey”. Following up “Dancefloor Hold Up” & “A few Dollars More”, the parisian band strikes back with a more dancefloor Nu Disco than their first singles.
The track is difficult to classify by the way, it’s a mix of Nu Disco, euphoric electro house with a touch of synthpop & trance…..
But do we really need to classify ? “Enjoy & Share the music” as mentioned on KOOL BANDITS Soundcloud….This is new, this is fresh music, exactly what we needed to start the summer !
You fly with Aeroplane once, you don’t forget it. In just three years, the Italian-Belgian producer has established himself as party-starting DJ, remixer du jour -with his spacious cosmic-disco re-rerub.

Not much is known about Shook… However, what we do know is that Shook has created a wonderfully light-hearted, disco infused track with vocals by none other than Ronika. We first heard Shook when he released his remix for Louis La Roche’s The Wall. Since then, Shook has released The Rise and Fall EP, receiving some good reviews. According to his facebook page, Shook is currently working on his debut EP. We can’t wait for the release of his album and look forward to all his future remixes.
